Head PGA Professional James Wood
James started playing golf at the age of four at the Kings Cross driving range. He joined North Middlesex GC at age 12 and went on to represent Middlesex at all levels before turning pro at 18. He completed his PGA training at Highgate & Muswell Hill golf clubs. At Muswell Hill he set up ‘The Putting Studio’ which has been a huge success and has enabled him to become an approved hub for ‘Todays Golfer’ magazine for testing putters. He then moved to Crews Hill GC as Head Professional before staring at Sudbury in November 2017. James has a passions for coaching all abilities of player ranging from Tour professionals to complete beginners. He is the putting coach for the Middlesex Golf and also coaches for the Noel Johnston Foundation which encourages children to start playing the game. James has a fully syocked shop which includes brands such as Titleist, Callaway, Ping, Under Armour, Motocaddy, Powakaddy, Skechers. Assistant Professional Paul Tolley
Paul has played golf for more than 50 years. In his amateur career he represented Hertfordshire for 20 years, playing in excess of 100 matches.Since becoming a Professional in 1999, he has been teaching in the Valencian region of Spain where his career has flourished and his reputation as an effective, experienced, knowledgeable and personable coach has grown rapidly. Since 2000 he has been greatly involved in the area of Coach education and training for various teaching organisations.He has attended many teaching seminars and undertaken further qualifications in order to be the best teacher he can possibly be. He continues to research all other sources of information and to this end, he has studied the work of many well known teachers both past and present. He is not only skilled in relation to swing technique and the short game but also in the vital area of sports psychology and performance and bases his coaching around learning as a whole, all aspects of the game.His reputation is further enhanced as a contributing writer of technical articles for various publications and he has conducted clinics and courses all over Europe.
