Stage 1 – Start Golf Programme

For adults of all ages, male & female, this scheme provides a fast way for beginners, or relative beginners to gain the skills and confidence to start enjoying the pleasures of golf.

This innovative scheme provides the foundations for golf, from driving from the tee, to hitting iron shots as well as learning about the short game. Our Professionals will help with all aspects of the game.

The ‘term’ lasts for 6 group lessons of 60 minutes each (equipment is provided) after which there is an assessment to evaluate your progress. Once you have achieved the required level, you are then invited to graduate into the next stage – Start Golf Plus Programme

There is no pressure to join the next stage & you can repeat this stage as many times as you wish, you only need to move on to the next level when you feel comfortable and confident.

The cost for the 6-group lesson course is £95*

Stage 2 – Start Golf Plus Programme

The focus at this stage is to get ready for the golf course. Our Start Golf Plus Programme has been designed to develop your newly acquired skills. The combination of individual lessons both on the practice ground & the golf course will help to prepare you for progression to our Sudbury GC Play Golf Membership. At this stage, you will need your own golf clubs which we can help advise you on.

During this programme, you will be able to use the practice & clubhouse facilities, which includes your own swipe card offering 15% discount on drink.

The cost for this course is £275* and includes:

• 6 group lessons of 60 minutes each
• 2 x 30 minute 1:1 lessons with a professional
• 1 x 60 minute 1:1 on-course lesson with a professional
• A club card with £25 to spend in the clubhouse with discount of 15%
• Use of practice and other club facilities

You can repeat Stage 2 if you’re not ready to move on to Stage 3.

Stage 3 – Sudbury GC Play Golf Membership

Only available to those who have completed Stage 2.

Our Play Golf Membership enables you to get a feel for golf club membership. This is a 12-month membership & is a great way of getting to know our members. During your membership, you will have the opportunity to improve your golf & submit scorecards to obtain an official WHS handicap. You will also be introduced to fellow golfers who will help familiarise you with club life. Once you have your handicap you will be ready for the next stage.
Play golf Membership enables you to have access to the golf course 7 days per week as follows:

• After 10am weekdays and after 3pm at the weekends during the summer months
• After 10am weekdays and after 2pm during the winter
• Tee times need to be booked via the Pro Shop or the Office

How much does it cost?

£673.50* for 12 months + £26.50* Middlesex Golf Affiliation fee, & includes: –

1. Use of the practice ground, practice nets, chipping green and practice putting green
2. Use of clubhouse facilities, including your own swipe card offering 15% discount on food and drinks in the
   clubhouse (as per Stage 2)
3. £200 lesson voucher to spend on any parts of the game that you wish to improve on

Stage 4 – Sudbury GC Golf Membership

Once you have obtained a WHS handicap, there are a number of golf membership options available to you at Sudbury GC.
